Between working on the yard, house, garage and all that comes with being a first-time homeowner, I needed a break. I decided the best thing would be to put some pavement between me and my quarter acre lot by heading to Acadia to make some pictures and hike Penobscot Mountain. Penobscot is a great little climb that offers amazing views of the Atlantic and surrounding bays.
You can see photos from my hike here, which are the start of a project called “Dirigo”.
I made a couple photos of Red Rover underneath Stanley Brook Bridge, one of the famous Rockefeller stone bridges that are spotted along the roadways in Acadia National Park.
I grabbed my Manfrotto tripod and Satechi remote shutter release. I parked the Rover, set up the camera, then drove under the bridge and triggered the release.
When it comes to refreshing creativity, there couldn’t be any place better than Maine.
