Man died saving wife in Range Rover hijacking

According to this New York Daily News article published today, a man trying to save his wife who was inside his silver 2012 Range Rover when hijackers tried to steal the car. The couple were apparently Christmas shopping a New Jersey mall when they were returning to their car.

With a car that was probably in the eighty thousand dollar range, most likely the thieves were being choosey when they went after the Rover. It’s a sad day when the things in life you work so hard for can be a key part in the demise of something as precious as family.

My heart goes out to Dustin Friedland’s wife, but I’m thankful he died defending her and not his car.
